Initial study (Action A3)

The primary aim of this study is to:

  • produce an inventory of bat species of community importance at the site
  • identify the roosts and hunting grounds of these bats
  • propose habitat restoration measures

The study will cover the forest section of the Chambaran military camp (area surrounding the shooting range), included in the Natura 2000 site. This is an area of around 2,000 acres, i.e. the zone managed by the French National Forests Office (ONF), except for plots 73 to 78 (see map below).

Bat roost and hunting ground restoration work (Action C5)

The bats' roosts and hunting grounds will be restored in accordance with the results of the initial study (Action A3).
