Audouin's Gull breeding site preservation work (Action C4)

This activity involves three operations designed to improve conditions at the site for the colony:

  • strengthening the sea wall by installing boulders on the weak section on the coastal side
  • restoring and extending the semi-natural platforms on which the gulls build their nests
  • creating 30 wooden shelters for chicks to provide better protection against predators (particularly the Yellow-legged Gull), the sun and inclement weather conditions.
